The
first wonderful walk-round has been kindly donated to SEAWINGS by our
Vancouver - British Columbia correspondent, Ed Komer, who made the trip to
the Evergreen Aviation Museum located at McMinnville, Oregon, USA, where
the Spruce Goose is now on permanent display, after her move from Los Angeles. Click here
to visit the web site of the museum and learn more.
As if that wasn't enough, our Canadian correspondent and friend of SEAWINGS, Alex Norton, has also visited the museum and generously donated his images for us all to marvel at! Note that some of these have been shot with a wide-angle lens which serves to further illustrate the sheer size of this craft against the more 'normal' aviation types on display around her. Our grateful thanks go to Ed and Alex. Thanks, Guys! SEAWINGS is proud to dedicate this gallery to the workforce of the museum who have moved, restored and now tend everyday to this magnificent craft. Thank you for preserving - hopefully for all time - the fabulous 'Spruce Goose'! Well done to you all. |
