amphibian - serial number L2301 - is on display at the Fleet Air Arm
Museum, RNAS Yeovilton, England and is one of only three remaining
examples world-wide, the other two being at the RAF Museum, Hendon,
London and the RAAF Museum, Australia.
The very interesting
aspect of this particular one is that it has its wings folded, as if
hangared on-board ship which allows for a much closer walk-round of
the airframe and a really close look at the wing folding mechanism
which is of great use to scale modelers.
presented in this gallery represent the most comprehensive
walk-round collection of Walrus L2301 and should prove invaluable to
scale modelers and enthusiasts.
Should anyone gain
full access to the interior at any time, please consider sending
them into SEAWINGS for inclusion here.
