Here is another walk-round from our correspondent Fabrizio D'Isanto, this time from the Italian Aviation Museum located at Vigna di Valle, near Rome. This is the only preserved surviving section of one of the two sponsons - the twin hulls - of the S.55X flying boat but it does show a great deal of the construction and gives a good flavour of what it was structurally like inside.
