Imagine being able to visit a museum and, walking around the corner of a hangar, you find this! Wow....

Well, that is what happened when our roving Russian correspondent Igor Kolokolov visited the Alaska Aviation heritage Museum in Anchorage, Alaska. This hull belonged to S.43 number NC15062 serial no. 4302 and has had somewhat of a chequered career with a number of operators including Avalon Air transport and Inter-Island airways of Hawaii. I just think it would make the ultimate flying enthusiasts office! Oh, if only I had the chance!!

Note the interior details of the hull in these views showing the strakes, bulkhead and longerons; very helpful for any modelers wishing to add details to a model.

Our grateful thanks as always for the use of these images goes to Igor.
