Grumman G-73 Mallard - N2594

Our USA correspondent John Fox visited the Air Zoo Museum in Kalamazoo, Mi, USA and shot this lovely walk-round of Grumman G-73 Mallard N2594.

Like a lot of aircraft on museum display around the world, this one appears to be kept 'in the dark' and so I think John has done a good job getting such detail in the images. I must admit, I never know why the museums choose to do this as for me, it spoils the pleasure of seeing the exhibit in the first place.

You can learn more about what John gets up to by visiting his website at Fox21 Productions. Click here,  it's well worth it! Thanks, John.

Another of SEAWINGS US-based correspondents, John Samardza, paid a visit to the museum and shot these lovely images that complement the ones above, and very kindly sent them to me for inclusion here. Many thanks, John.

And, last but certainly not least, comes this lovely walk-round from long-term correspondent Alex Norton from Canada who has just this past December paid another visit to the museum and it looks as if they have listened as N2594 is now under perfect lighting for photographing all the details, as Alex has done just that here. What a difference a bit of thought makes to a persons museum visit experience, something a lot of museum display's would do to consider. My grateful thanks - as ever - goes to Alex.

All we need now is a good 1/72 and 1/48 scale model kit......!
