This gallery is respectfully dedicated to the late Leo Lemuel White (1906-1967) of Whites Aviation Photography, New Zealand without whom this fabulous record of flying boat images would never have been available for us today to view. Whether he knew exactly how valuable a historic reference archive he was creating whilst photographing various classic flying boat types will never be known, but every flying boat historian and enthusiast is deeply indebted to him for the magnitude and superb quality of his photographic skills. Whatever series of flying boat images may still - in 2014 - exist unseen within various image archive vaults, it is highly unlikely that his series will ever be bettered for sheer quality. These images are quite simply astonishing. Thank you so very much, Leo.
