| Many years
ago, I had the pleasure of standing right here in the San
Diego Air and Space Museum, located in Balboa Park, San
Diego, underneath this superbly restored and displayed
PBY-5A; and it really does look as good as these recent
images taken by our Canadian correspondent, Alex Norton,
whilst on another of his travels.
Whilst being
'pole-mounted' may not appeal to some enthusiasts, it does
allow us to observe areas of the 'boat that otherwise would
not be as readily available to the casual observer. At least
it's out of the elements in a place where it's going to be
cared for and looked after for future generations to walk
around. Meanwhile, until you pay it a visit, enjoy these
