This
gorgeous Consolidated PBY Canso Water Bomber is parked on
display to represent and pay tribute to the Province of
Newfoundland Forest Fire Fighting Service and in particular
to Captain Ronald Penney and 1st Officer Yannic Dutin who
were tragically killed whilst fire fighting on 12th July
1967. It is located in St. Anthony, Newfoundland, Canada.
Canadian
correspondent Jim MacKensie paid it a visit and shot this
magnificent - highly detailed - walk-round for us all to
enjoy. Personally, this has to be one of my favourite
Catalina/Canso colour schemes and makes a striking scale
model.
My grateful
thanks goes to Jim for sharing these images with us. |
