BASES AND PLACES GALLERY

The idea of looking back at particular places through the 'Then & Now' photographic method, where one can get an idea of what these places looked like during their active service, is a genre that appeared in the mid-eighties and has become a very popular format for enthusiasts, visitors and history buffs to show them details that they would never otherwise have known about; especially valuable if one intends to visit the site. Here we present our version of the same thing - Bases and Places that are directly relevant to Flying Boats.

Of course, it is impossible for SEAWINGS to visit every one of them - they are after all, spread all over the World, so we are extremely grateful to our correspondents that have visited them for us and given of their time to take these images.
